I graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Language Arts Education for grades 5 -12. While teaching at Centennial Middle School for 8 years, I pursued a master's degree in education at Hamline University and earned my reading license. In 2008, after the birth of my twin girls, I discovered a love for teaching preschool music classes. With my background in education and passion for literacy and music, I spent the next 9 years developing and teaching preschool music curriculum. In 2018, I expanded my classes to community education. Currently, I teach a reading course for education majors at the University of Northwestern, choreograph middle school musical, advise a theater club in Mahtomedi, and run JOYful Noise music classes in Mahtomedi and St. Paul. I'm passionate about working with learners of all ages in the areas of literacy, music, and theater, and I truly love what I do!
