Meals on Wheels DonationImagine the impact Did you know that the inability to grocery shop and prepare food is a major contributing factor to people having to leave their homes and move to residential facilities? Last year, the generosity of financial supporters along with the 152 kind-hearted volunteer drivers resulted in 18,274 meals served to senior citizens and individuals with disabilities and helped many to remain in their homes. With your help, this valuable service can continue Every year we count on donations from organizations and individuals like you to sustain this valuable service to the community. This year we have a specific financial need beyond food and supply costs. We need to replace our walk-in cooler, which was installed in 1951 and is original to the building. Our most affordable option is to purchase a used cooler, but even so, our total cost for the cooler, renovation, and installation is estimated to be around $20,000. (A new cooler would cost significantly more!) Our normal operating budget cannot bear this expense without additional donations. Please consider increasing your gift this year to help ensure that Gladstone Meals on Wheels will continue serving our community for many years to come. Thank you for your commitment to the community During this season of gratitude and gift-giving, when food is the center of so many celebrations, I hope you will consider giving a gift to Gladstone Meals on Wheels. A tax-deductible donation of any size will make a difference and will provide hot, home-delivered meals to a neighbor in need. If you would like to donate an amount other than the amount listed above, please call Mary Kay at 651-748-7232 and she will assist you in making your donation.
