The screening appointment typically takes 45-60 minutes.
Early Childhood Screening is free and provides a simple check of how your child is developing and growing. It’s also a great way to learn about community resources that can support you and your family. Screening is for children 3–5 years old and is required by the State of Minnesota before entering public Kindergarten.
During the screening, your child will complete age-appropriate activities with a trained professional. The screening includes checks in the following areas: cognitive development, large and small muscle development, communication skills, social and emotional development, vision & hearing, height & weight and health history & immunization review.
