Join Tarri Levine as she shares her passion for Mah Jongg in this beginner-friendly class! This is a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of this popular game and then enjoy free access to our three weekly Mah Jongg sessions throughout the year.
No need to purchase any equipment—tiles and cards will be provided for use during class. Mah Jongg is played with four players using a set of tiles and a National Mah Jongg League card. The goal is to be the first to complete a winning hand by drawing and discarding tiles to match one of the designated hands on the league card.
Throughout the sessions, you’ll learn the rules, strategies, and etiquette of the game, with plenty of guidance and reinforcement along the way.
After completing the class, you’re invited to join our Mah Jongg Interest Group, which meets every Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Gladstone Community Education Center. It’s a great way to continue practicing and connect with other players!
