Epic Connection is an after school opportunity for middle school students. It is a place for students to build a “life resume” by building friendships, building community connections, building knowledge, and building student leadership.
F.L.I.G.H.T. will provide students with a wide variety of enrichment clubs, academic support, leadership opportunities and culturally affirming clubs.

Adults with Disabilities Program
Create a beautiful hanging fabric collage using a technique called Slow Stitching - a relaxing form of embroidery that focuses on process rather than pattern. We'll begin by layering fabric scraps onto a 6 x 6" square and then use a variety of hand embroidery stitches as well as trims, beads, etc. to add texture and color. Whether you are a new or experienced crafter, come explore your creative side. Please bring Fabric Scissors and a $20 supply fee payable to the instructor in the first class. Sandra Bengtson

Sandra Bengtson, owner of Avant Garb Fashions, was fortunate to learn how to sew by her mother at age eight. Decades later, Sandra’s passion for sewing has paved the way to fulfilling a lifelong dream; teaching others. As her mother did for her, Sandra is committed to spread her love of sewing. Sandra believes that providing a warm, inclusive classroom environment with fun and laughter, maximizes the learning experience and may even foster new friendships.
