Epic Connection is an after school opportunity for middle school students. It is a place for students to build a “life resume” by building friendships, building community connections, building knowledge, and building student leadership.
F.L.I.G.H.T. will provide students with a wide variety of enrichment clubs, academic support, leadership opportunities and culturally affirming clubs.

Okinawan Shuri Te Karate is a martial art that developed around the city of Shuri on the island of Okinawa. Karate is a Japanese word that means empty hand. This class will teach traditional karate that includes an emphasis on self defense and incorporates basic Judo for a comprehensive martial arts training. Jason Meyer

Jason currently co-teaches a Karate class and assists with other classes taught by his organization in association with St. Paul Parks & Rec. He co-teaches a weekly class at MLK Rec Center on Wednesdays. He started with a class taught by former instructor, David Graff through a ISD 622 Community Education Karate class in the late 80's. He enjoys teaching youth and adults and is happy to re-start a class for community members of ISD 622.
