Epic Connection is an after school opportunity for middle school students. It is a place for students to build a “life resume” by building friendships, building community connections, building knowledge, and building student leadership.
F.L.I.G.H.T. will provide students with a wide variety of enrichment clubs, academic support, leadership opportunities and culturally affirming clubs.
Adults with Disabilities Program
Join us for a fun hayride through the apple orchard and to the pumpkin patch! You'll pick 2 apples and be able to choose your own small pumpkin about the size of a cantaloupe. Our private group tour will teach you how to pick apples, why bees are important, and what the orchard staff do to protect their trees. A small 3 oz. sample of cider will also be given. Dress for the weather. This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Plan to meet at the orchard located at 14421 S. 90th St. in Hastings. Please come early as the tour will leave promptly at 6:00 pm. Look for the sign "Community Bridge Meets Here." Staff pay $15 too if joining for hayride tour.
This activity is customized for adults with cognitive developmental disabilities.
