Pickleball Beginner/Novice Rotating Round Robin Shootout

Player Registration and Team Formation

Each player registers individually and will be randomly paired with other players to form teams. Matches will follow a round-robin format, and partners will rotate every match.

Definition of Beginner/Novice Player

  • Able to serve the ball consistently
  • Understands and usually demonstrates the two-bounce rule
  • Knows proper court positioning for serving, receiving, and general play
  • Approaches the non-volley zone to hit volleys
  • Familiar with fundamental rules and can keep score
  • Skill levels: 3.0 and below. For more information, refer to USA Pickleball ratings HERE.

Gladstone Community Education Center tournament organizers will reach out if this shootout is not suitable for you.

Time

  • All divisions begin play at 1:00 PM.
  • Check-in starts at 12:30 PM.

Cost

  • $35 per person
  • Everyone must register and pay online. If you do not complete your payment by the registration deadline, your spot will be given to a player on the waitlist.

Food and Drink

Food and drink will be provided for registered players.

Playing Format

  • Round robin with randomly paired partners
  • Final matches will be determined based on the number of registered players
