Dia de los Muertos Festival

Adult Enrichment / Special Events / Community Events -
Fall 24

UNESCO has recognized The Day of The Dead as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Celebrated by Indigenous communities in Mexico, el Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a time to remember deceased relatives and loved ones as they temporarily return to Earth.

Join us in celebrating and honoring our almas (souls) with an Altar de Muertos and traditional rituals. Bring a picture of your loved ones (including pets), or a special item in remembrance of them, along with a battery-powered candle.

This free event features:

  • A food truck
  • Face painting
  • Live music
  • Dancing
  • And more!

Pre-registration is required to help us plan accordingly and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.

This event is in collaboration with the North High School Latinx Club and the Tartan Folklore Dance Group.
