Have fun hitting big drums! If you can count to four, you are set! Taiko is originally Japanese, but now is global. Use your brain and body, be social, and have fun. We move, make music, are loud, and laugh a lot. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Wendy Jo
Since the 2017 women’s march in St. Paul, Taiko has consumed my life. I regularly attend workshops around the country, have been to a few in Germany, and usually drum several days a week with others. This art form has changed and healed me. For me, it is about connecting with others while moving, vocalizing, and making music. Plus, it is loads of fun! Who doesn’t like making lots of noise with big sticks? Learn more at chochodaiko.org.
