Epic Connection is an after school opportunity for middle school students. It is a place for students to build a “life resume” by building friendships, building community connections, building knowledge, and building student leadership.
F.L.I.G.H.T. will provide students with a wide variety of enrichment clubs, academic support, leadership opportunities and culturally affirming clubs.
Adults with Disabilities Program
Do you have a sewing machine but don’t have a clue how to use it? Join us for this fun, informative class where you’ll come away with an understanding of machine set-up and operation as well as tips to get you started on your sewing journey. We’ll test out essential sewing accessories, learn about a variety of woven and knit fabrics, and practice a variety of stitches. Class ends with a field trip where we’ll learn how to navigate a fabric store. $5 supply fee paid to the instructor in the first class. Sandra Bengtson

Sandra Bengtson, owner of Avant Garb Fashions, was fortunate to learn how to sew by her mother at age eight. Decades later, Sandra’s passion for sewing has paved the way to fulfilling a lifelong dream; teaching others. As her mother did for her, Sandra is committed to spread her love of sewing. Sandra believes that providing a warm, inclusive classroom environment with fun and laughter, maximizes the learning experience and may even foster new friendships.
