Spring is often thought to be the traditional time to plant seeds but fall has its advantages. When we seed in fall, the seeding is dormant, and the seed will remain in the soil all winter long to germinate in spring. In many cases, dormant seeding can be more effective than spring and summer seedings. Join us to learn more about this method and tips and tricks to increase your spring germination and seed success. Adam Hjelm has been teaching community education and gardening classes for nearly twenty years. He is passionate about native plants and helping people green up their spaces in a variety of ways. Adam is a watershed education coordinator, Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, and Lawns to Legumes coach. When he isn't working with residents on their properties; he can be found wandering the woods, gardening in his backyard, or chasing after fish on our local lakes.
