  • Expand Your Horizons by Aging with Gusto

Join us for facilitated discussions on how to ignite a positive perception of aging and to help develop pathways to create a more accurate narrative about what it means to age. Each of the three discussions in the Aging with Gusto series is interactive and engaging, combining large and small group activities that help participants examine their views and actions around aging. Each discussion will focus on a specific topic: What contributes to your aging with gusto? How can you recognize and respond to ageism? How can you use your values and goals to live with gusto? Instructor Vital Aging Network: The 3-week program will be facilitated by Joann Ellis and Sally Brown trained facilitators from the Vital Aging Network, whose goal is to promote self-determination, civic engagement, and personal growth for people as they age.
  • SHINRIN YOKU - Japanese Forest Bathing NEW!

Enjoy a 2-hour immersive and meditative forest bathing walk. We will slow down and connect our senses to the healing, stress-reducing beauty of the forest. We will slip away from our phones and revive our relationship with nature and ourselves via unique, experiential invitations. We will share what we notice with each other, incorporating our experiences into our memory to tap again when we may need them. We will re-enter the tame world, renewed and refreshed. Guests should wear boots/shoes, clothing/gear appropriate for weather. Walk will be held in the rain and snow, but not thunderstorms or negative temperatures. Please wear/bring mosquito/tick repellent and sunscreen if desired. Please bring water if you would like to have some available throughout the walk.
