Epic Connection is an after school opportunity for middle school students. It is a place for students to build a “life resume” by building friendships, building community connections, building knowledge, and building student leadership.
F.L.I.G.H.T. will provide students with a wide variety of enrichment clubs, academic support, leadership opportunities and culturally affirming clubs.

TIME: Drop-off is at 9:00 a.m. and pickup is at 3:00 p.m. each day Monday through Friday. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. However, there is a "show" for the parents Fridays of weeklong camps at 1:30 p.m.! This is a great time to take pictures, watch your child ride and meet their horse they worked during the week.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as; daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and feed them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. At the end of the week, parents and family are invited to a performance to see what their camper has been learning! Please note that riding takes up about 1 hour per day in the arena, not trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day.
WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING:
- Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside/outside of barn.
- No flip flops.
- Sunscreen/hat/bug spray
- Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch
- Treats for the horses if you want
- Helmets are provided.
WEATHER:
Camps are held rain or shine, as we have an indoor barn and arena.
