Adults with Disabilities Program
Running remains a popular choice for fitness enthusiasts, with increasing participation in races designed for all ages and abilities. In this class, I will present relevant material for runners who are just starting out, and for those looking to improve their marathon or half marathon performance. Staying healthy and injury-free while training is a must, so strength training and proper rest will both be emphasized. Heart monitors will be also be discussed, and how HR can be used to assess weekly progress. Come join me to explore this running gift of yours!! Dr. Robert Follensbee
I am a science instructor at a public university. I have done some running most of my life, but didn't start endurance running until age 55. I am now a 62 year old marathon runner and Ironman athlete, and continue to study better ways to train. My big goal is to qualify for the Ironman World Championship race held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
