    Ever-popular Chinese dumplings are easier to make at home than you think! Beginning with dumpling skin, Shumian breaks down all the elements for Pork and Scallion Dumplings, sharing her tips and giving you the confidence to prepare these delectable bite-size delights yourself. You'll learn to roll and wrap your dumplings, mix a traditional marinade for the filling, and master the best techniques for a perfectly pan-fried final product.   • Irish Dinner

    Learn about Irish cuisine and the history of St. Patrick’s Day before diving into an extensive menu of delicious Irish dishes. Each small group of students will work together to prepare a different dish, including Smoked Fish Pate as an appetizer, Beef Braised in Guinness, and Beer-Braised Pork Tenderloin as the main course. The famous Colcannon (Mashed Potatoes with Cabbage) and a tasty Cabbage with Bacon will be served alongside these dishes. And who can resist homemade Irish Soda Bread? Finish off your meal with a delightful Jam Cake. For larger classes, additional recipes may be added. Please note that there is a supply fee of $16 payable to the instructor in class.     Nancy has taught over 15,000 students how to decorate and make lovely desserts. In this brand-new class students will have a super fun evening learning the “tricks of the trade.” Bring along any baking questions or baking problems that you may have had and learn many helpful hints to solve those issues. Beautiful desserts do not have to be time-consuming or hard to make. And best of all--you will leave class with a beautiful box of treats that you created yourself. No prior experience necessary. $13 supply fee payable to the Instructor in class
  • Magnificent Muffins & Popovers

    Serve freshly baked breads in less than 1 hour. Whether for a memorable weekend breakfast, brunch, or teatime, to accompany a salad/soup, or for another occasion, hot-from-your-oven breads are wonderful. Muffins (and their larger-sized quick breads) may be sweet and Savory. Adjust the baking time (less than 30 minutes) for muffins to less than 1 hour for quick breads, and a single recipe yields both! We'll feature remarkable recipes to taste in class and take home PLUS tips, techniques, and equipment to ensure success every time. Recipes include Blueberry, Cinnamon Crunch, Bran-Corn, Dried Cherry, Fresh Ginger, Golden Raisin, Maple Sour Cream, Sliced Fresh Lemon plus Flavored Butters, and a variety of Glazes/ Toppings. Popovers are perfect-serve alone or insert your favorite filling to create a special meal. And of course, expect to learn all the valuable tips to ensure success every time!
